Keeping traditional Scottish music Alive since 1974

The great news is that rehearsals will resume onTuesday 7th September.  With the lifting of the COVID restrictions, we are now able to meet up again.  The committee has held meetings to look at the pros and cons of resuming rehearsals and has also considered various comments from members.  We will be taking all the necessary precautions to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Change of Venue

Colin has worked very hard and has succeeded in securing us the use of the newMonifieth Parish Church for our Tuesday eveningrehearsals.  The times will stay the same as before ie 7.15 - 9.00 pm. (access from 6.45pm)

The address is 41 High Street, Monifieth, DD5 4AAand it is situated opposite the shopping centre so there is ample parking in the shopping centre or at Tesco's and there are traffic lights at the church.

The venue looks really great and you can see pictures of it on-line.  We will be in the Sanctuary which is very roomy so we will be able to spread out and keep socially distanced.

Keeping safe

  • There will be hand sanitiser inside the door
  • We would ask that you wear a facemask when moving around unless you are exempt
  • We will be a taking a register each week
  • Please bring your own refreshments as, although there are kitchen facilities, it is safer for the time being, for everyone to bring their own drink.
  • Several of our members, who are in employment, already test twice weekly for COVID and we would remind everyone else that testing kits are available in pharmacists, test centres and on-line and are available to everyone
  • We would ask that you notify the committee if you test positive for COVID

Tuesday 7th September - a full evening of music so please bring all your music for a "members' choice" evening

Tuesday 14th September - our Annual General Meeting (AGM) followed by our music

As we are resuming our face-to-face rehearsals it is not practical to hold Zoom sessions so, unless anything changes and restrictions are imposed again, then we look forward to seeing you all in our lovely new venue of Monifieth Parish Church.
